Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the SunReady app ("SunReady," the "app," "we," "us," or "our"). By downloading or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. The service

SunReady is a tanning and UV-index coaching app that shows the local UV index and forecast, estimates safe sun-exposure and Vitamin-D windows, and offers guided sun sessions and progress tracking. Some features require a paid subscription ("Pro").

2. Not medical advice

SunReady provides estimates for educational and informational purposes only. Burn-time, UV, and Vitamin-D figures are approximations and are not medical advice. UV exposure carries real risks, including sunburn, premature skin aging, and skin cancer. You are solely responsible for your sun exposure. Always use appropriate sun protection and consult a qualified health professional for medical guidance. SunReady is not a substitute for professional advice.

3. Subscriptions and billing

SunReady Pro is offered as an auto-renewing subscription (for example, weekly or yearly). Pricing and any free-trial terms are shown in the app before you purchase.
Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
Subscriptions renew automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the period.
You can manage or cancel your subscription, and turn off auto-renew, in your Apple ID account settings after purchase.
If a free trial is offered, any unused portion is forfeited when you purchase a subscription, where applicable.
Purchases are subject to Apple's Media Services Terms. Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with its policies.

4. Acceptable use

You agree to use the app only for lawful, personal purposes and not to misuse, reverse engineer, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the app or its systems.

5. Intellectual property

The app, including its design, text, graphics, and the "Sunny" mascot, is owned by SunReady and protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for personal use. Content you create (such as your progress photos) remains yours.

6. Disclaimer of warranties

The app is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy of UV, weather, or health estimates. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that estimates will be accurate.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SunReady and its providers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from your use of (or inability to use) the app, including sunburn, skin damage, or other injury. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app will not exceed the amount you paid for it in the twelve months before the claim.

8. Changes to the app and Terms

We may update or discontinue features, and we may revise these Terms from time to time. When we update the Terms, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the jurisdiction in which the SunReady operator is established, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles, except where mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence apply.
